I’d like to install a car hoist in a single garage. The roof has a big loft space. But the roof trusses prevent the space being used. Is it possible to change the trusses to allow a car lift to be installed? No major pressure on timeline and as usual budget is important. Height only needs to be in the middle of the garage. So a modified truss would work instead of a truss removal if that makes sense. I’ve got no idea what’s possible. And I’m not sure what sort of cost this would have. Garage is fully trimmed now. Ie. Fully gibbed ceiling and walls. But this is not that important for me. If the ceiling is left open, I’m not worried.
