Job description

Re-Roof Tin Roof
North Shore

Published: 21 July 2023

The roof is a metal roof. It has a central gutter (yes, I know, most of you just clicked onto the next job) that can overflow and efforts have been made to reduce the risk of this happening. Of course, the only place for water to go when it overflows is into the ceiling. A short distance further along, at the edge of the roof, there is another box gutter, but this butts up to the balcony of the neighbouring apartment, so making it external does not look like an option. What I would like to do is be able to sleep at night when heavy rain is forecast. Probably this entails replacing at least the smaller section of the roof. To reduce the potential sources of issues, we might as well remove the skylight and replace it with roof. Maybe make both parts of the roof feed into a larger central gutter and build it so that overflows don’t get into the ceiling. I am open to suggested work, and I understand if this means lifting the whole roof to get it done. If you aren't scared away by the above, please let me know. Dimensions: 6.4 metres across and 4.3 meters deep (from adjoining townhouse to far side of largest central gutter).
