Repair conservatory roof

The conservatory has worked really well for 25 years. Now the sealing is breaking between the metal roof panels and rust has appeared. We need to remove the rust, repaint the rusted areas, and then reseal the gaps between the roof panels (on top of the roof). Advice on the best approach is welcome. Wonderful sea views while working!
