Replacing shower over bath with a shower

My elderly mother is having difficulties stepping over into the bath to have a shower. So I need to get the bath taken out and an old person friendly shower put in. The taps in the bathroom basin also need to be replaced with ones that are easier to use. Ideally this would be done quickly so it disturbs her the least.
