We experienced back flow up the drains in bathroom laundry area during Jan 2023 floods. Particle board Flooring will need to be removed and replaced, so we're looking at a complete revamp of bathroom, laundry, toilet area at the same time, as it is not very modern or practical. We have some ideas but we need advice to see what is practical and achievable, so a builder with a design focus would help. Kitchen not affected by flooding but ideally needs replacing, happy with basic kit set / flat pack kitchen. Lounge floor appears to be sagging between joists, may need replacing or remedial work. Ideally we would remove carpet and tiles on whole level and install something like lino or spc flooring. Ideally, we need to see how far our budget can stretch to see how much of this is doable. Flood affected area is a must though. Also, to keep costs down we would like to chip in where possible with labour, ie demolition work, painting, basic carpentry. Preferably you would coordinate trades, although we have a plumber and electrician who've worked on the house before that we'd be happy to use again. House is up on poles and placed on a flat area, so easy, freestanding access. Ideally looking for someone local to Laingholm /Titirangi area. Time frame is flexible on when the job needs to be done. Can work around the builder as to that.
