We are at the beginning stages of a renovation and still determining feasibility (what is really worth it for our house). Option 1. is a structural renovation to improve flow and move toilet away from the kitchen area. Structurally, think this involves moving a door, re-constructing a wall and *ideally* making x2 external windows larger. And then a new kitchen, bath, laundry and master bed. Option 2. is simply updating existing kitchen, toilet, laundry bath and master bedroom. We have an architects drawing to work with, however open to suggestions/compromises that would be more cost-effective. In style I'd say we're after humble, simple but crafted.
