I would like to move my mains pressure electric hot water cylinder from a ground floor closet to the attic space directly above its current location. It's a 1940s home with high pitched roof and plenty of attic space. The job will require extensions to all of the plumbing and power through the current closet to reach the new location in the attic and re-connection. I believe the attic space is over a load bearing wall so it should just be a matter of putting a few boards down to rest the cylinder on. I am having the (asbestos) ceilings removed, once that work is complete and before the new ceilings go up there is a great opportunity to move the cylinder. There is access under the house below the current location of the cylinder.
