We have a 1960's house with original wallpaper which I have started to strip and seal with pigmented sealer but before I go any further, I would like to check that the preparation is good enough for plastering. Part of my garage and my neighbors have damaged gib from a tap being left on. I'm looking to get a quote to either gib/plaster/paint or put up plywood in my half, ~3.7m of one wall and 4.1m of ceiling. The neighbour's half has ~3.7m worth of gib to be replaced on their wall only. Gib has been removed from the wall/ceiling in my half but not the neighbours.
