Lounge and Entry Skim

We have a lounge room 3.7m x 7m and an adjacent entry 1.2m x 1.2m. Both have a 3m stud that require skimming. The original plasterboard is in average condition. We have stripped all the wall paper. There are some small (<25mm) holes that will need repairing. We would like it skimmed to a paint finish.
