Job description

Interior plastering
Auckland

Published: 20 January 2013

Re-configuring a room to have a floor to ceiling wardrobe the length of one wall (3m long). Moving the door to access the room, so that the door is repositioned approx 1m along the hallway from where it is currently (door to be moved closer to main front door of house). Following building, require plastering and tidying up of architrave to match existing detail where ceiling meets the wall. Once this job is completed, will continue with similar work in the other spare room, so ideally the building will be able to do both this job and planned future jobs. Refer to picture for detail of door to be moved. Also shown is ceiling plaster detail to be maintained.

The building work was completed quickly (2 days) and cost came out as per fixed quote. Their work was tidy and we are really happy with the job done to match the cornice detail of the old ceiling. Dean used a subcontractor who did the plaster and paint. I asked for some variations which were quoted but came in at a higher cost. In the future would recommend getting a fixed price in writing before commencing variations, so as to avoid confusion. All in all the job was really well done, quick and high quality. Would recommend.
