gib stopping in wardrobe and laundry

Hi there. I have a little job that needs doing to tidy up inside my wardrobe. I'm pulling an old system out and stripping wallpaper, after that I need someone to stop the walls and ceiling. The ceiling also has an old beam which needs cutting away (about 30 cm) so that it can be gibbed. A builder friend of mine says a saber saw will do it easily, but he doesn't have any men free at the moment. I may also have a bit of demolition work removing an old laundry tub and then stopping the laundry walls.
