Hole in wall (30 x 20 cms)

One of the flatmates put his foot through the wall. The whole is about the size of your head in the hallway and the material is quite thin. I'll need a builder to fix the hole and hopefully paint over it so it is not too obvious that there was a hole in the first place. Not sure of the material exactly, please see pictures for more information.
