I cannot recommend using Smith Interiors to anyone. They were 15% of my renovation budget and 90% of the stress. They hid items in the scope of works by poorly describing the scope. They added gst on top of a gst included quitems twice. They refused to fix quality defects or scope items not done. They insisted on payment before project was complete and have threatened to send me to debt collectors and to court as I've withheld payment of $1000 (<7% of project) until work is complete.

Tradesperson reply
"Muppet owner. Has no clue. A Liar. who hires experienced qualified builders, yet gave our tradesmen a daily speech on instructions "how to build-101". Absolute nightmare of a client who did not understand what a written, accepted,Quote with the work scope allowances, was actually for. We continually had to repair his previous attempted 'work', all while adding Variation items for us to complete. Then did not want to pay for his extras and felt it was "just part of carpentry".Ripoff. DO NOT TRUST."
