Plasterboard Removal

Job description

Plasterboard Repair
Auckland

Published: 25 May 2015

We're tracking down a leak in an excavated basement with breezeblock walls [completed 2009 - all expensively and professionally done], lined with plasterboard. To determine the extent of the leak, and work towards solving it, we need to remove 5 to 10 sq.m. (possibly more) of plasterboard on the stairwell down into the basement and see what's going on behind it. The job involves removing the plasterboard over any damp areas, leaving the rest tidy, cleaning up and getting the waste off site. Later, after the leak is resolved, we'll need to make good. Should be straightforward; I've removed a small area myself and it comes away easily.

This was a potentially difficult job - and Mike and the team dealt with it effectively. Most particularly, Mike rapidly analysed the overall site situation, and gave recommendations regarding the root cause, appropriate solutions and work staging. Communications and timekeeping were excellent. MPV's rates are reasonable - not the cheapest - and exemplify getting what you pay for. Highly recommended.
