Fix garage wall water damage

My ex-landlord has accused me of causing extensive water damage in his garage. I don't believe this is true. He is being quoted in excess of $5000 to fix this damage. I've been told by two builders that it should cost approx. $2000. The landlord then said to me that if I can find a builder that would do this for approximately this amount than he'll let me off the hook and we won't have to go to the tribunal. Can anyone help? I have posted photos too.
