Bathroom wall tidy-up

We have a wall in our bathroom beside the bath/shower unit that is peeling paint as it has been poorly painted over plastic in the past. We are looking to get someone in to either strip the wall of paint entirely, repaint in a way that won't peel or any other solution you may suggest. Also possibly reseal/tidy the edge of the bath and wall.
