I have a 2 m strip light which variably will turn on. If the tube is wriggled, sometimes that will cause it to turn on. Significant heat is generated at the ends where the strip bulb is connected to the electricity. There does seem to be a potential for fire. Also have a defective light switch in another room. And a third problem, a hanging light which is inappropriately sited, should be moved approximately 1m.
