Small garden fix up

We have a small area on the lower part of our section that needs a spruce up. It's about 20m2 and needs to have a rather tatty lawn removed and replaced with pavers/recycled brick. there's a raised garden that needs attention and a clean up is needed to create a small benched garden where the compost bin currently stands (the grapevine and trellis can be removed as the carport is about to be turned into a garage Would be good to tidy up the steps to the upper deck by adding a handrail as well

the quote was significantly underestimated, as was the time taken to do the job - it ended up being double the initial estimate. A major item that had been discussed on the initial site visit turned out not to be included in the initial quote (of which I was unaware). I also had concerns over time taken to do some of the work. The increase in cost was not communicated until the project was almost complete However, the quality of the finished work was fine.

"The client was correct. I completely underestimated the estimate. Worst situation ever for everyone! I do TML - Time, materials, labour per hour, as I'm not a quantity surveyor.
It was about 70-75% more than the estimate..The remaining extra 25-30% to bring it to double the estimate were extras including the "major item". I also gave the client major discounts on where I could to keep down costs.
The cost of this project would have increased the value of his backyard fivefold."
