Basic Landscaping and Trimming of bushes on common areas of a street

We need some clean-up and landscaping works done on small patches of the area in our street, these are shared areas of the properties around it and we would like it to have plants and shrubs that will look tidy and will not require ongoing or very minimal maintenance. We also need to have the bushes along one side of the street to be trimmed as it's starting to occupy the footpath.
