I need to replace the current retaining wall that separate my property from my neighbour. The current retaining wall (see photos) is about 40 years old (I assume) and is no longer in line with the property limits. This means that some digging is involved to get to align with the real limits. Unfortunately, I have been told that the access was too small to allow a machine to get there. I would like another opinion on this. My neighbour got rid of many bushes to allow some passage. I am interested in quotes for a wooden retaining wall vs a concrete block retaining wall. This would be finally topped with a low fence. The work also involves removing the current gate, stairs and planter and replacing them. The length of the retaining wall/fencing is 12.5m and the hight around 80cm/100cm. I added an estimate cost but frankly, I have no idea at this stage and will need advices.
