Path for small courtyard garden

Looking to get a path built that winds around a small courtyard garden (about 5mx5m) - open to discussion about the exact shape, most plants are in pots so can be moved. Also open to whether path is made with stepping stones, gravel etc. Access to garden is a bit limited, down a flight of internal stairs.
