We have a path running along the front of our house with the front door and a small porch halfway along. It seems to have been concreted originally but only some of this remains. It has broken off and eroded away along the house side (the house is built on a slope) and there’s just soil and stones there. There is a small bricked area in front of the porch which we would like retained and cleaned up if possible. We want the old concrete path broken up and removed and the whole area levelled. We’d like Jacmat laid and the whole path gravelled with pea sized Waikato fleck (or similar). We think getting the path to the right level may require going up the wall of the house slightly, if so it will need an edging and/or damp proof membrane to protect the house cladding. To one side of the door, there is a drainpipe laid along the path above ground, which we will be painting black and leaving there but open to quotes that include lowering/burying this. There is an old drain but nothing drains into there now so it can be blocked and filled over. At one end the path will meet a deck, at the other it meets a slope where steps down will be built eventually; until then some kind of timber retainer will need to be put in place to hold the stones back from the slope. We would really like this done by Christmas or before 10 January. Previous estimates of the work have been 1-2days depending on the approach to the job. Happy to answer any questions but hopefully the photos will help. I can add more if there is anything specific you want to see. Measurements in final hand drawn sketch.
