Job description

Landscape Design
Waitakere

Published: 22 April 2021

We have moved into a new house and would like to get some advice and help with planting and presentation of the front of our house, entrance, and backyard. I have attached photos of the 3 areas, so you have an idea of the scope of works. We will do the work ourselves and are looking for ideas and inspiration on how make the 3 areas look cool. I have some notes on the 3 areas so you know what we would like. However, we are very open to better suggestions. Front of House • Want to keep the 3 parking spots if possible • Would like to have rosemary (preferably a hedge of some sort. Although this does not need to be in the front) • Would like a something in front of the big window (it is our office and we do not use the sliding door) • Something to fill the front edge of the property (its where the manhole cover is and supposedly grass, but it’s just clay) The whole area is concrete and semi permeable pavers so everything needs to in pots or boxes, or you may have an alternative. Entrance Just something cool. It is all wooden decking so planter boxes of pots (or some other cooler alternative). But you might know something better. Backyard Its approximately 11m x 8m - with a raised bed 1m x 8m; small lawn (3m x 8m) and the rest is deck. We have outdoor furniture, table + chairs and spa. It is quite big but want some varying heights on the deck (again pots, planter boxes or alternative). The lawn I will lay myself. The raised bed we would like a couple of mandarin trees + lemon tree. I would also like a little herb garden. Overall, we want low maintenance preferably with some all-year colour and then some seasonal plants (in pots or planter boxes) that we change over or take in and put out. Really want plant advice and any ideas you might have. As I said we will do the work ourselves and want some planting advice and basic design. Please me know if you can help, what you would and how much.
