I am getting a spa pool delivered in about two weeks, and need to have a foundation prepared for it. It is a standard sized spa measuring 2.2m x 2.2m and I would like it positioned to the side of my existing raised deck, on the grass. The section is generally flat, but it may need a little leveling out. I'd like a wooden frame and then am open to your recommendations about the material of the foundation itself, however want to avoid using concrete. From the research I have done, whatever is used will need to be compacted to help ensure there are no areas under pressure when the spa is filled.
