Planting Advise - Steep site

Hi I have a property on Wood Bay road. Until recently the site has been covered with ginger. We are slowly clearing out the ginger. The site is quite steep so taking out the ginger has left the site a bit bare. I am looking for someone who has expertise in Titirangi to advise on what best to plant to avoid soil erosion during heavy rain. Would prefer to plant native plants to keep the Waitakere bush outlook. Thanks
