Sloping Garden path

The pathway we are hoping for would slope through the area shown in the photos that is approx 14 metres wide and 15 metres from the garage to the bottom where the house is. Hoping for kind of a DOC trail style fitting with the Bush surroundings. Attached are a few photos of the 2 different ideas we have in mind. Basically, we want it to be easier to get push chairs up and down. I'm conscious of drainage and also keeping the bank secure. Perhaps a gravel path would wash away? Perhaps a wooden path would be slippery? I sure you'd have ideas. Also attached is a photo of the current make shift handrail we would like replaced with something wooden and better looking. If you can get a basic cost idea to us I'd really appreciate it as we are keen to get it done. Thanks
