Lawn project

We live in Titirangi and have a small area of garden which is currently barked. We have been considering what to do with this area, and are keen to have some sort of grass, or ground cover laid (with the possibility of a small dog utilising the space in future). I understand that the area doesn't get alot of sun so our options might be limited. We need some advice as to what would be a viable option and obviously someone to do the work! Also we want to uplift the paving slabs and take out the pittosporums in the pictures.
