New Landscape Design

Hi there, I would like to rejuvenate the back lawn at my house so that I can make a good use of it especially in the summer. I'm on a flat section and the back lawn has "T" shape. The lawn is also attached to a retaining wall against another house. Ideally, the lawn has to be low maintenance. The upper and right section of the lawn have weed mat but I guess it needs to be replaced as the weed keeps coming out.
