Rebuild and extension of terraced path plus others (maybe)

We would like to create a terraced path and a clean up of the side area of our house. The current path that we have was already partly terraced as shown in the picture. However, the wood that they have used is mostly rotting away. We would like to renovate the area to rebuild the terrace and extend that a bit more. There might be a bit more work around cleaning up some of the space around it, just depends on cost. The total area to work on is around 30 sq. m. We are not looking for the most amazing beautifully arranged work. Focus on practicality of the design and durability of materials used.
