Swimming pool paving and coping stones

Our swimming pool area is currently tiled over a good concrete base. Quite a few of the tiles have small cracks through them and don't look great. I am wondering if it would be best to have pavers laid over the existing tiles and new coping stones fitted. I presume that pavers would be less likely to crack than tiles. Thanks
