Soundproofing small bedroom

My son is severely autistic and highly sensitive to sound. Even people talking in the next room, or a movie playing in the living room is enough to set him off. He has noise cancelling headphones but it’s not enough. We need to know how to help soundproof his room.

Ceiling insulation installation

The ceiling insulation in our home is 10 mm off what is required to meet the healthy homes standard. We require the existing insulation top be topped up with the minimum thickness of ceiling batt available to comply. The work can be done anytime, but needs to be completed by the first week of February. It is a modern home with good access.
