Insulation for 2 bedrooms

Have two bedrooms that I want to look to remove existing plasterboard/gib from to line walls and install insulation from the interior. Would then require new gib to be installed, as well as plastering and painting. Additionally, before re-gibbing would want to install a few new power points, as each room only has one currently. House is pre-60s build and I'd be aiming for a 10 day period in October to do the works, as flatmate will be away so easier to have the disruption in the house.
