Repair or replace

I have an old fireplace which is missing the air intake filter. The part cannot be purchased any more. I have the closest match which apparently could be engineered to fit (circular end requiring fitting into a rectangle). If this isn’t doable then I would like a quote to replace the fireplace only please.
