fireplace repairs

I have just bought a house in Red Hill Papakura and need to get the fireplace repaired. The flue is about 4meters long and is rusted through on the seam in a few places, the wetback pipe work is split open and disconnected from hot water. It is a masport fireplace thats 660mm long and 460mm high and 430mm deep. There is some surface rust inside, not sure how bad though. This fireplace is not recorded on the lim or building plans, so council requires certification after repairs. The house is really cold and has no celling as such so the whole flue is exposed. Celling boards between the beams just under roof tiles.The chimney cap outside looks good, but would need to be checked to.
