I have a small opening 1500x2000mm at the bottom of stair well leading to the rumpus room. I would like to close the opening with timber frame and fit a small door (610x2000mm approx.). The job doesn't include gibbing or finishing. Framing: H1.2 45x70mm (I've got enough dry H1.2 framing for the project) Door: Ideally light hollow door finished with timber veneer or plywood close to teak or dark rimu by appearance, including brushed s/steel door knob with privacy lock. Door jambs: paintable grooved jambs suitable for 70mm stud and 10mm GIB. Finger jointed pine is ok (MDF is not ok).
