Connect gutter to down pipe

Job description

PVC Spouting and Downpipes
Northcote Central, North Shore

Published on 9 March 2025

i have a small awning/walkway roof with a gutter about 6m long. currently the existing down pipe just terminates above the ground not to storm water. i want to remove the existing downpipe, seal it off and at the other end connect to a downpipe that is close by connected to the main roof and the storm water. the distance to connect less than a meter. the existing gutter needs to be extended slightly to do so. maybe its cheaper to just replace the whole length of gutter im not sure but there is nothing else wrong with it other than the pitch is in the existing outlet direction which im sure can be adjusted. the access is slightly annoying due to the existing foot ramp and connection area is paritioned by some framing and clearlite. you can see in the photo the downpipe to connect to on the left and on the right the gutter behind the clearlite
