We had double glazing installed a little while ago. The installers removed a metal panel (I think it was already loose) that was covering the north face of the wooden sill and the wood is now cracking and falling out (see hole in photos, about 1cm long), it appears that a bit of rot has set in due to weather/water. We would like the rot cut out of the windowsill and filled appropriately, and the metal panel replaced to match the other windowsill corners of the house (and to prevent further water damage). Note that house style/era is 1940s/50s brick state house.
