Repair ceiling hole from extractor fan - kitchen

Repair/cover hole in kitchen ceiling, left from old extractor fan during reno a couple of years ago (and possibly seal the gaps between ceiling and wall to the right of hole). Also two really quick (I think) jobs I was not sure where to put here: rescrewing door to a draw and replacing a screw on right side (see pic); and putting the base boards (no pic but can add one) back in under the sink. We appear to have a small but yucky mouse problem, and I think those holes/access points are how they're getting in. We have a *very* limited budget, so we are trusting that whoever takes this job can make the most effective repairs possible, in the most economical way.
