Small handyman jobs

I’ve made a bit of a mess on my newly painted wall trying to hang a 90cm shelf onto a wall where there is no stud - 1920s house. I need the holes repaired and the shelf hung securely. Have tried various fittings recommended by Bunnings!!! Also need a large painting hung and a dummy door handle fitted.
