Externally vent dryer (and mount if required)

Hi there, We have an 1950s home with a laundry that was clearly not designed to accommodate a dryer. Eventually we'd like to redo the whole thing, but in the interim would like to look into how we could get the dryer externally vented. To vent to the outside properly, it will likely also need to be mounted as well, which could be a tricky given the window that's nearby so very happy to hear suggestions and advise for what would work best here :) Thanks, Simon
