Attaching a heavy cantilever light to the wall

We have a Vitra Potence Light - see link below that we would like to install on a wall in our living room, --- The light is quite heavy so I need a tradesmen who can assess whether it's possible to attach the base to the gib wall using gib screws or if it needs to sit in a stud. Ideally the former as the stud is not in the middle of the wall. We have the appropriate gib screws and instruction manual. The light has a cord that simply plugs into the wall so no electrical work required.
