Unfortunately with last years heavy rain, we have resulted in water creep into the garage and we are after a solution to: inspect for water damage in the house, waterproof and future proof the area and install wood contouring (or whatever advice you see fit!). The natural low point for the area in question results in partial flooding into our garage. This is mainly due to debris build up over the years where extreme weather events has water pooling over the cinder blocks and into the garage. The cracking in the cladding (fibre cement I believe) also needs to be replaced, this was basically the last means of protection for the wooden structure of the house (obviously not ideal...). We would like an assessment done for our situation and for suggested works to be carried out. Hopefully the photos are good enough. Please note, we don't believe we're able to run drainage away from this particular area as it is the natural low point, unless the backdoor steps are removed. We keep the gutters on the roof as clear as possible to prevent overflow of water from the gutters, but might have to come up with a better solution as this attributes to the flooding as well (due to pitch of the roof and the speed the water hits the gutter causes water to overflow, aiding the water into the garage).
