alteration to hearth

We have a tile hearth with wood edging under our wood burner and on top of matai flooring in old villa. We want to reduce the hearth size by cutting through tiles at the side, restore wood edging (recycle if poss) and flooring if damaged. This is to allow for fire guard to be placed later.
