Going up double height ladder

Three extractor fan lids are banging in the wind. I believe the best way to fix this is for magnets to be placed on the lids to keep them closed when off but open when on. These are located on the second floor so require a double height ladder to access from the outside of the house. The locations are approx. 3-4m tall, so you will need to be comfortable providing and going up a ladder around 2.5-3m. The job should only take a short time per extractor. Suggestions on how to fix also welcome. We have magnets already.
