We have a set of drawers at home that a relatively old, they were given to my partner by his late grandfather and now they are in need of some TLC. I was wondering if there is anyone that could help in making these more functional again and patch them up a little without taking away the importance of what they mean to my partner. I am not sure of what the outside is made of, a hard wood I think and also the front and back of the drawers are too. The side of the drawers are an issue as they are made of ? mdf material which seems to be leaving wood dust whenever the drawers are opened or closed. Preferably we would want this to be fixed up and maybe get runners on the inside of the drawers as I think there is room for this to be done and the sides replaced. Also there are a few chips on the front that need re-fixing. Please let me know if you are at all able to help out.
