Remove Bookshelf, plastering and painting over small area

Hi, We are looking to remove the bookshelf in the picture. I suspect that in the removal process, some bits from the wall will get damaged so I anticipate some filling or plastering, and then painting over 2 coats. bookshelf is probably nailed and glued to the wall. We will provide the paint. The area is 1.2mX3m. Looking to do the job ASAP.
