Skirting boards - sanding & painting

Hi, I need someone to help me please! It is urgent - as in a job which needs doing before the 16th October, when I am getting carpet laid in 3 small bedrooms. In the bedrooms at the moment apparently is floating vinyl which needs to be lifted. Then the skirting boards need to be given a bit of a sand (apparently there would be some residual silicon on these skirting boards) and given a paint (white). This before my carpet goes in next Wednesday the 16th. Help would be much appreciated! Thanks.
