During routine maintenance (painting etc) to a fibreglass-surfaced deck the waterproofing-specialist has come across a small puncture in the fibreglass that has led to the plywood sub-surface rotting. The area of rotten plywood is small - around 1x2 foot. We cut a hole in the ceiling underneath to visually inspect the extent of the water penetration. Only the plywood measured any moisture - no framing appears to be affecting. (phew) However ... The waterproofing specialist is just that, and I need a builder to conduct this small job so that it will be "legit". Mr Waterproofer can cut the hole open and fibreglass over the repair once complete, so the scope of this job is (hopefully) just to replace the rotten plywood. * There are probably some other odd jobs around the place that could be used to pad someone's time out to make it an honest chunk of work.
