Window solution

I would like to be able to leave the window open during the night as the house is so hot, without the security risk of burlgars (open window can be seen from the road). I currently have a little security bracket but that only allows the window to open a fraction, which is hopeless in summer in sauna conditions... Any ideas, suggestions please? Many thanks!
