With state of the art educational and sporting facilities, the school provides a unique environment where girls can achieve excellence in a wide range of academic, cultural and sporting activities. Our impressive property and grounds include a world-class indoor Aquatic Centre, a hockey turf, historical buildings and purpose built learning facilities. We have commenced work this year on a Performing Arts Centre building project. With initial responsibility for maintenance, the incumbent, as one of our property team, ensures our facilities are compliant, safe and superbly presented to its users. This also includes undertaking a range of property and grounds-keeping duties - this includes assisting with the set-up of venues for school functions and events. We are looking for an energetic, physically strong, fit and hard-working team player with general handyman skills. Responsibilities include: • Undertaking a range of property duties, including lawn mowing and assisting with event setup • Ensuring that Hazards are given priority and attended to within 24 hours, or as soon as is practicable • Undertaking maintenance activities which do not require a certified tradesperson, in accordance with related legislation, and providing support to all staff on an as-needed basis • Utilising the maintenance database to allocate and track jobs • Monitoring equipment performance and initiating maintenance service as required Our facilities are used throughout the year, seven days a week. This role therefore, requires flexibility in working hours. The successful candidate must have a current full drivers' licence. Problem solving ability and the initiative to anticipate stakeholder needs are also key, as are relationship building and customer service skills.
